What this calculator models

This is an income-tax model for residents, not a net salary calculator or tax return. Gross modes use annualised gross as an estimate basis; direct taxable income is more precise. Social insurance and most deductions remain excluded.

What does filing status mean?

It determines whether tax is calculated for one person or, where the selected country provides for it, jointly with a spouse. The exact treatment depends on the tax country.

Important scope

  • ✓Interface language never selects the tax country.
  • ✓Tax periods and official sources are versioned inside each country engine.
  • ✓The amount remaining after tax is not net salary because other deductions are excluded.

Frequently asked questions

What does Single or Married mean for filing?

It determines whether only one person or, in supported country models, a spouse is also included. The calculation differs by country.

Can I enter monthly gross salary?

Yes. It is multiplied by 1–24 salary payments and any annual bonus.

Why is gross mode an estimate?

Gross pay is not always the exact taxable basis.

Does it calculate net salary?

No. Social insurance and a complete payroll are outside this tool.
