Model and limits
These DGE values apply to the selected age group under adequate energy intake and average living conditions. They are reference values, not a personal measurement or an individually calculated drinking amount.
Sport, heavy sweating, heat and other conditions can change individual requirements; this display calculates no adjustments. Pregnancy and lactation are not modelled in this version.

What does the display show?
It shows fixed DGE reference values for the selected adult age group and separates beverages, solid food, oxidation water and total water.
What does water from beverages mean?
It is the water-from-beverages component listed by DGE; it is not limited to plain drinking water.
What is water from solid food?
Food also contains water. DGE lists this component separately from beverages.
What is oxidation water?
It is the separate amount from metabolic processes shown in the DGE table.
Is this a personal drinking recommendation?
No. The display does not calculate an individual drinking amount and does not replace individual or medical assessment.
Why is there no body-weight input?
The reviewed DGE source does not clearly document multiplying its relative table value by current individual body weight. FreeTools therefore uses fixed age-group values only.
Are sport or heat included?
No. DGE names such conditions as influences, but this display deliberately applies no flat amount formula.
