Generate random numbers within a selected range.
Open Random number generator →Random numbers create selections without a predefined pattern. They can help with draws, samples and simulations, but they do not predict outcomes.
A number range defines the smallest and largest possible value. In a uniform integer selection, every allowed integer should have the same chance.
Randomness differs from statistics: statistics analyses existing data, while a generator creates new selections.
For integer draws, choose start, end and count. Depending on the task, repeats can be allowed or each value can appear only once.
Decimal values also need a display precision; equal displayed values may occur after finite rounding.
Software obtains random values through technical sources and procedures rather than a deliberate visible pattern. Mapping values to an integer range must avoid bias.
A random value is not automatically suitable for every security, gambling or scientific use.
Possible uses include ordering, test data, random selection and simple simulations. The right procedure depends on whether repeats, order or reproducibility matter.
Sorting changes the presentation of drawn values, not the draw itself.
A short sequence can look regular or unusual by chance; it does not establish a distribution. Statistical conclusions need a defined experiment and enough data.
The generator is not a prediction tool and does not guarantee suitability for a particular security context.
Our tool generates integer or decimal values in a selected range. For integers, duplicates can be enabled or disabled and output can optionally be sorted; the count is limited to keep results manageable.
For integers, the browser provides values through crypto.getRandomValues and the tool uses an unbiased range selection. Decimal values are rounded for the selected display without making a promise for every conceivable use case.
